Mike Ewens Loft conversions.
For the past fifteen years myself and a selected team of tradesmen have been producing loft conversions of the highest quality. Operating in a fifteen-mile radius of Waterlooville, we specialise in the instillation of roof windows and achieving the most from your loft. Over the years we have come to find that many customers benefit from our Budget Loft conversion. This involves the basic shell of the Dormer all external work, steel work, staircase and structural timberwork to be completed. This method could save the customer at least one third of the over all cost of a loft conversion. From this stage we can carry on until the customer is confident they can continue the remaining work and at there own pace.
There are several different types of dormers here are some examples.
Flat roof dormer. This type is recommended to achieve the most space in a loft, a bright comfortable room with the opportunity to have en suit.
Pitched roof dormer. This type of dormer has a more attractive look and is normally seen on bungalows or on the front of buildings. Although space is limited in side, when combined with a flat roof dormer at the back of a house they can create a functional and classic look.
Ridge dormer. This dormer works in much the same way as a conventional flat roof dormer, except instead of a flat roof it has tiled pitched roof spanning from the existing top ridge tiles to the gutter at the front of the new dormer. There are no real benefits of this roof design, except its natural look from the outside.
